I might be biased but for me, these are some of the best feel-goof films around for when you just feel a little deflated and need something to take your mind off the rubbish.
Now I know that not every film is going to become a classic or even be considered a masterpiece, and at the end of the day I am 110% okay with that, because sometimes as much as I love to go to the cinema, sit in silence and be amazed at what is in front of me, sometimes, more often than not I go to watch films because I want to feel better or take my mind off something and films are the perfect escape from just that; a bit of a shitty day and you just need to smile and laugh. Most of these films I have watched more than once and will more than likely watch again because they do just what I want them to do. Take my mind off something.

Someone Great (2019)
I'm sure that most people, well at least most woman and girls under the age of 55 has watched this instant girlfriend classic at some point and we all know the Lizzo scene and I'm sure to have at some point recreated it in our bedrooms. This feel is the perfect best friend life is good but we're also human so not perfect chick flick, and I didn't think chick flicks were still a thing so I was over the moon to watch this. It isn't going to win an Oscar any time soon but I just love that this does exactly what you come to watch it for.

Pretty Woman (1990)
Just in case you didn't know I pretty much am drawn to Julia Roberts in films like a moth is drawn to outside porch lights. 90's romcoms live in my mind rent-free and this classic will always be a go-to laugh and feel a good choice for me. I am yet to meet someone who doesn't love this movie, and if they don't then I don't care what they say they're lying. It's charming and funny I hope for my own peace of mind that these 2 are best friends in real life after filming this.

The Big Sick (2017)
I didn't know what to expect from this, it just kept coming up on my Amazon Prime so eventually, I watched it and I was so happy after I did. This film doesn't get near enough notice for how good it is, it was one of the only romcoms to be considered for a major award in its season, (best original screenplay) and something which I feel was so rightly deserved. The way this film is approached is so human, even though based on real events so much goes on that you would stop and think if this really was someone's life. Starring Kumail Nanjiani (Whose relationship with his wife this is based on) the humour is dry and when watching the story unfold exactly how I hope I would react to.

Love Actually (2003)
Yes technically a Christmas film, but with my birthday being in November literally the moment that is over I say it is okay to watch this film. There isn't much explanation needed everyone and their mum has seen this and it quite literally is the ultimate romantic comedy.

Four Weddings & a Funeral (1994)
This was always going to be in my feel-good films and I have my mum to thank for that, overall there is one moment where you will cry with sadness, other than that this is the definition of a Richard Curtis feel-good 90s classic and if you ask me one of hot, young Hugh Grant's most underrated films. Most people love a wedding and even the spoiler alert of a funeral in the title can't ruin how much I love and always come back to this film.
